VG Authorization - Token, MD5 Ticket and URL Callback Access properties

The Token Access allows you to secure content and authorize file access to user without using database. Use the methods in Authorization administration component interface to get a token id encrypted with username, user IP address and token valid period.  Append the token id in the URL and present it to Windows Media Player.  When Windows Media Player sends the URL request to Windows Media Services, VideoGuard authorization plug-in captures the token id in the URL and decrypts it.  The request  is granted if the decrypted IP address matches the IP address of Windows Media Player and also the token id is still within valid period. Otherwise, the request is denied.

The MD5 Ticket Access works the same way as the Token Access. It is to support the md5() function in PHP scripting language. The system time in web server and Windows media server must be in sync.

The URL Callback Access allows the WMS administrator to specify an HTTP URL when windows media server receives a streaming request. If the callback URL returns a string matching the value specified in "Valid Code" field, the streaming request is granted, otherwise, it is denied.

Please enable the "Enable PPM" check box in VG EventNotification plugin if PREVIEW value (> 0)  is specified.
