This Data Source Name (DSN) is used by SQL command in VG Authentication plug-in, SQL command in VG Authorization plug-in, and Report SQL command in VG EventNotification plug-in. The SQL commands use it to connect to your database and perform query statement. You can use Create New DSN button to create a new DSN entry in ODBC manager also use Test Connection to make sure the type in values are correct.
You can configure the following options for this plug-in.

This only applies to the connection made to determine the server default settings; it does not apply to subsequent connections made using the data source after it has been created.|
|Password||DSNPassword||Specifies the password the database server uses when connecting to database server if with database server authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user is selected. This only applies to the connection made to determine the server default settings; it does not apply to subsequent connections made using the new data source. Both the Login ID and Password boxes are disabled if With Windows NT authentication using the network login ID is selected, or if Connect to database server to obtain default settings for the additional configuration options is not selected.|
|Create New DSN||Click on the Create New DSN button to create a new DSN.|
|Test Connection||Click on the Test Connection button to verify the ODBC connection is set up properly.|
|Connection Pool Cache Time||PoolConnectionCacheTime||Cache the DB connection to get better performance. Some of
ISPs set the DB connection timeout to 20 seconds. In this case, you want to set a smaller value in this field to accommodate your ISP DB setting.
Please talk to your ISP about their DB connection timeout setting.
Note: If you are using SQL server, please be sure the SQL server connection is set to TCP/IP for creating the DSN.
